BEIJING, China, December 1, 2005 - Easy FM, a broadcast service of China Radio International (CRI) today announced the launch of their new drive time arts, lifestyle and features program China Drive.
China Drive's two co-hosts, business news reporter, sports reporter, and three dedicated features correspondents provide timely, creative and thought provoking stories from across the country. A live radio show for the evening commute from 5 pm to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, China Drive airs on 87.9 FM in Shanghai, 91.5 FM in Beijing, and other major cities throughout China.
China Drive, presented bilingually in Easy FM's unique style of English and Chinese broadcasting, provides listeners with arts, lifestyle, features, weather, entertainment, metro, human interest, environment, and science stories. During every show there is a sports report at 5:30 pm and business news at 6:30 pm.
"I love listening to Easy FM. The English format has enough Chinese included that I can easily listen to the excellent programs," said Easy FM listener Inserta Nay Mere. "I'm looking forward to the new show China Drive."
The Easy FM Topic of the Day, which starts every morning during Real Time Beijing, will continue on China Drive. Each day's China Drive closes with a Weekly Opinion Poll, a regular weekly survey of how China feels about issues that are important. Poll results are announced during every Friday broadcast. For both Topic of the Day, Weekly Opinion Poll, and listener comments of any kind, listeners can go to www.crieasyfm.com and register their opinion. Some comments will be read live on the radio.
"China Drive will provide the perfect evening counterpart to the late morning broadcast of Real Time Beijing," said China Drive producer and co-host Chris Verrill.
"We hired Chris in May to produce this program," said Jade Wang Lu, Easy FM deputy station director. "We've spent six months assembling a crew and creating a program people all over China will enjoy listening to." |
